FOUNDATIONS FIRST

For many children, there are underlying reasons for missing or poorly developed communication or social skills. It is important to assess and address more than skills and behaviours using strategies and expectations that are developmentally appropriate and meaningful for everyday life. Our programming is based on most current research in child development and learning, and is tailored to meet the individual needs of each child and family.

Referrals to and collaboration with other professionals may be needed to fully determine the nature of your child’s difficulties, and how best to support him / her. We seek collaboration with all team members including paediatricians, ENTs, audiologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, educators, psychologists, and social workers to provide the most effective care.

PARENTS AS PARTNERS

A crucial part of your child’s success involves working together with you. You know your child best, and are your child’s strongest support and advocate. Together, we will develop and implement a detailed plan for intervention. We look forward to partnering with you!
